Where I’ve Been.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you may have noticed it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted…

I leapt a few months back into pursuing art full-time, leaving the warm security of a great full-time interior design job behind. Many people have asked me – why would you leave a successful 12-year career to do art?
Let’s face it – people are a bit sceptical of ‘art’ to say the least.

So, for those people who want to know-

I have no other choice than to jump or forever wonder ‘what if’ – and that’s not something I’m ready to live with.¬† And, I’m not leaving anything behind – I’m building on all those experiences… and seeing the paths that arise on the journey.
Anyway, all the processes of creation I had in neat boxes of time before taking this step got thrown out the window.
I started to experiment with paint and exploring different techniques I was less familiar with, listening to Pink Floyd’s album ‘The Wall’ over and over. A new collection of paintings was born at this time.
This collection is available in large prints on canvas (stretched on a gorgeously chunky 45mm frame, ready to hang).

note: The original paintings are 40x60cm, and were featured at an exhibition curated by Art Couture, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Festival City, Dubai in November 2017.
